Assignment Rules
Define exactly how LeadRouter handles every new deal. Rules run in the order shown — the first matching rule wins.
How rules work: When a new deal arrives, LeadRouter checks each rule in order and stops at the first one that applies. If no special rule fires, the deal goes to round-robin.
Rule 1 — Open Deal Guard
If this contact already has an open deal with your team, the new deal is assigned to the same rep. They receive an activity notification to follow up — no deals are closed or removed.

Rule 2 — Same-Day Deduplication
If the same contact submits multiple enquiries on the same calendar day (common with web forms), both deals are assigned to the same rep who receives a notification. No deals are closed or removed — your pipeline stays intact.

Rule 3 — Won Deal Continuity
If this contact has previously bought from you, the new deal is assigned back to the same rep who won their business. This preserves the relationship and gives returning customers a familiar contact.

Rule 4 — Lost Deal Continuity
If this contact was previously worked but the deal was lost, it goes back to the same rep. They already know the prospect's objections and history, giving them the best chance of converting second time around.

Exclusion Fallback
If a continuity rule would assign to a rep who is deactivated, excluded, or outside their working hours, the deal automatically falls through to the round-robin pool instead. No deal is ever left unassigned.
